Get The Most From Your Cell Phone
Today’s cellular phones have evolved to become a complete mobile solution…offering multiple devices in one; including a camera to capture photos and video, MP3 player, games, personal digital assistant (PDA), e-mail, Web browser, and in some instances, a personal navigation system (GPS). As networks and devices evolve, next-generation mobile phones are expected to do even more.
One of the easiest way to get the most out of your mobile device is to add expansion memory offered in MicroSD™ flash memory cards.
About MicroSD™
How do I use a MicroSD™
MicroSD™ memory cards can be used to expand the internal memory in any mobile device having a MicroSD™ slot.
When the MicroSD™ card is inserted into the included SD adapter, it converts into a
standart Secure Digital™ memory card, making it possible to exchange data between multiple devices.
Why do I need a MicroSD™card
STORE MORE and get the most out of your mobile device…..
Mobile devices experience improved functionality with the addition of flash memory cards. With higher capacity SDHC ™ flash memory cards you can store more images and capture them faster with your digital camera. For your cell phone the addition of MicroSD™ flash memory provides improved performance when your running several applications at once, as well as the ability to store and share more images, videos, games, music and more.
Capacities Available
When the MicroSD™ format first hit the market in 2005 (after ratification from the SD Card Association), it was available in relatively small capacities: 32MB, 64MB, and 128MB. Since then, we have seen the much larger cards emerge. To date MicroSD™ cards are offered in capacities up to 2GB and MicroSDHC™ cards are available in capacilities from 4GB and up.
This increase in storage has a direct relationship with the increasing popularity of musicphones. As more people use their cell phones as MP3 players, the demand increased for capacities that could rival the portable music players on the market, like the Apple iPod Nano. We continue to see larger and larger flash drives, portable hard drives, and other storage media, so it should be little surprise if we start seeing 32GB MicroSDHC™ memory cards by the beginning of 2009.
Examples of Cell Phones that Use MicroSD™ Cards
There are many cell phones that use MicroSD™ to expand their on-board memory. More often than not, these cell phones, smartphones, and PDA phones come with some sort of multimedia functionality, if not a complete integrated MP3 and/or video player. Here is a partial list of cell phones that use MicroSD™ memory cards:
- LG Glimmer AX-830
- Nokia 3555, Nokia N82
- Palm Centro 685
- Samsung SGH-T819, Samsung SGH-G600
- Motorola ROKR E8
- Research In Motion BlackBerry Pearl 8120
Cell phones are not the only devices to make use of MicroSD™ memory cards. Some other devices that use this format include the following:
- Navigation devices
- Camcorders
- Expandable MP3 players
- Portable gaming consoles
